Laughing Tree, a platform that provides support and business networking as well as funding opportunities for Small and Medium Businesses (SMEs), today launched the Laughing Tree Entrepreneur Community, which is a Lifelong Learning platform for SME entrepreneurs.
Local entrepreneurs, especially Bumiputera entrepreneurs, can use this lifelong learning platform to boost their business potential to a higher level.
The Executive Director of Laughing Tree Sdn Bhd, Shamsul Qamar bin Abd Rani, said, “This platform was built for entrepreneurs who have completed the 3-month program called ‘Project Tree’ where the learning for them does not stop after they have learned how to raise funds. This platform allows them to continuously learn without stopping. With the existence of this Laughing Tree Entrepreneur Community, it is a ‘game changer’ for SME entrepreneurs”.
Many SMEs, especially among Bumiputera companies under Project Tree, have successfully received millions of ringgits in funding, and some have great potential to expand internationally. However, due to the lack of exposure, Laughing Tree has mobilized various programs under the Laughing Tree Entrepreneur Community, together with Laughing Tree’s strategic partners.
In addition to the launch of the Entrepreneur Community by Laughing Tree Chairman Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Daud Bakar, Laughing Tree also launched the book ‘Panduan Meraih Dana’ in physical form as well as an ‘e-book’, to open the eyes of more entrepreneurs on how to raise funds legally.
The Executive Director of Laughing Tree Sdn Bhd, Ku Addy Fazly Ku Radin (Broku), also said, “With the launch of this book ‘Panduan Meraih Dana’, it can to some extent guide SME entrepreneurs in understanding the basics of how to raise funds, existing platforms to raise funds, effective fundraising roadmap and many more”.
“Apart from a guide to raising funds, entrepreneurs who own this book are also given a bonus in the form of a list of more than 200 funders and investors in Malaysia who offer funding and grants”.
The ‘Laughing Tree Entrepreneur Community’ and the book ‘Panduan Meraih Dana’ continue the efforts carried out by Laughing Tree Sdn Bhd to help SME entrepreneurs facing economic uncertainty to develop their businesses further.
