Maxis’ Hotlink mobile app wins prestigious international iF Design Award 2024

Maxis’ Hotlink mobile app recently clinched the prestigious international ‘Oscars of design’ iF Design Award 2024 for User Experience (UX). Maxis is the inaugural and sole Malaysia and Southeast Asia winner in the mobile application UX category.

Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organisation, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organises the iF Design Award. The Hotlink mobile app was selected as one of the winners in the UX category out of 11,000 submissions from over 72 countries in the world by a panel of 132 renowned global design experts.

The Hotlink app offers a user-friendly interface that transforms the telco experience, with clarity amidst a multitude of options and tasks such as plan changes intuitively organised. The app also presents value-added features like personalised daily offers and merchant rewards accessibly and makes it easy for customers to handle credit, mobile internet, bill payments, and rewards programmes through the interface.

The majority of Maxis’ 7 million Hotlink customers rely on the app to manage their prepaid and postpaid mobile accounts, while also getting rewarded with deals from over 100 of its partners across Malaysia.

“As Malaysia’s leading integrated telecommunications provider, we always want to make it easy and delightful for our customers to deal with our services. Maxis is pleased to have landed such a prestigious international award which recognises and provides strong encouragement for us to strive to do more for our customers. Customer experience is at the core of everything that we do, extending across the entire company and incorporating all our touch points whether physical or digital where we are always looking to serve our customers better,” said Loh Keh Jiat, Chief Marketing Officer of Maxis.
