Lotus Cars Malaysia opens its First Lotus Store at Pavilion Damansara Heights

Lotus Cars forges ahead to reinforce the marque’s presence in Malaysia with the opening of its first Lotus Store at Pavilion Damansara Heights.

The 173.58 m² Lotus Store in Kuala Lumpur opens its doors 10 months after the launch of the first all-electric Hyper-SUV Lotus Eletre in April last year, which has been well received in Malaysia and with 50 cars already delivered as at this month and another 200 cars on arrival.

Designed to reflect the all-new international corporate identity of Lotus, the Lotus Store houses two of the brand’s latest arrivals in Malaysia – the Eletre and the Emira sports car -; a configurator room that allows customers to personalize and accessorize their own vehicles; a dedicated wing for exclusive Lotus merchandises and apparel; and a well-appointed lounge area.

The configurator is the jewel in the crown for customers, allowing them to customize every aspect of the vehicle. This ranges from the exterior (trim, paint colour, rims and tyre choices, coloured brake calipers, carbon ceramic brakes and badges); the interior (theme, material, seat belts, steering wheel and carbon inlays); the level of equipment (exterior mirrors, Lotus Dynamic handling pack with 4-wheel steer capabilities, and intelligent glass roof); to offering additional Driving Aid features such as the parking pack and highway assist pack.

Open daily from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm, the Lotus Store is located in the mall on the 1st floor at Lot 1.47.02. When entering, the customers are greeted by an 8.4 sqm high resolution LED screen built into the Lotus Store for an engaging display.

The Lotus Store at Pavilion Damansara Heights also marks a preamble to the opening of Lotus Cars Malaysia’s flagship showroom in Glenmarie, Shah Alam which is scheduled for Q2 2024. The brand also intends to further extend the Lotus footprint in the Northern and Southern regions, and implement a Lotus Mobile Service Solution for even greater customer convenience.

“The new era for Lotus Cars Malaysia began in 2018 with the establishment of a full-fledged after sales service outlet in Shah Alam, but as you can see with the time taken to open the new Lotus Store, our growth and brand presence has been a gradual but methodical approach. Here, the process of reintroducing the brand not only involved reassuring existing Lotus customers that we are here to care for their needs, but it was also paramount to have them and new potential customers accept, understand and embrace the new Lotus philosophy and global direction to build premium and top tier vehicles without having to compromise on the Lotus ideals, namely the pure enjoyment of driving,” said Lotus Cars Malaysia General Manager Jack Zaal.

“The overwhelming acceptance from customers and well-timed release of the Eletre – advantaged by the Malaysia’s push towards vehicle electrification – has proven to become a pivotal launching pad for the rejuvenated Lotus brand in Malaysia. Following up with the Emira and future models that are due to arrive here, this has notably cemented Lotus’ position as a premier class marque in tandem with the brand’s revitalized line up of vehicles that cater to enthusiasts as well as its aggressive push towards electrification. Lotus Cars Malaysia’s pace for expansion will also exponentially accelerate to not only have a greater foot print in the top tier market segment but to provide customers with greater access to the brand.”

The Lotus brand is represented in Malaysia by Lotus Karz Sdn Bhd as the sole importer, distributor and provider of after sales service as well as spare parts for the brand. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of KARRUS Automotive, an importer of premium new, used and classic cars.
