Team BOOM Esports from Indonesia takes home the champion’s trophy at the PMSL SEA Spring 2024 following a dominant performance during the Grand Finals held over the weekend.
The three-day Grand Finals weekend was full of excitement as fans flooded into Tropicana Gardens Mall to witness the amazing gameplay and hype clutches from teams and players, with some even flying in from neighbouring countries to show their support.
The event saw the top 16 teams battle it out to take home the trophy, a prize pool of USD 200,000, and a chance to earn their spot in the Main Event at this year’s PUBG MOBILE Global Open in Sao Paulo, Brazil. BOOM Esports dominated throughout the weekend, consistently placing in the top 5 before coming out on top for the last day to take home the trophy.
Malaysian teams Yoodo Alliance, Geek Fam, and SEM9 put up a spirited fight throughout the tournament, with Yoodo Alliance displaying a competitive showing winning three ‘Chicken Dinners’ on the very first day of the event to put them on top at the end of Day 1. They finished the tournament in 4th, 12th and 13th place respectively.
