Acer Malaysia today announced the arrival of the Predator Helios and Helios Neo laptops as well as Nitro 50 desktop that come with the latest Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series laptop GPUs.

Predator Helios Series
Designed for gaming enthusiasts and performance seekers, Acer refreshed the Predator Helios 18 and Helios 16 gaming laptops with up to 14th gen Intel Core i9 processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPUs. With maximum total power (CPU + GPU) of up to 330W, these laptops come with the ultra-efficient NVIDIA ADA Lovelace architecture to deliver breakthrough performance and AI-enhanced graphics thanks to DLSS 3.5 technology’s full ray tracing capabilities.
As their name suggests, the refreshed Predator Helios 18 and Helios 16 come with 18-inch and 16-inch (16:10) WQXGA displays respectively. The top specifications of each model feature mini LED panels operating at rapid 250Hz refresh rates and supporting a brilliant 1000nits brightness. Other models in the line come with 240Hz refresh rate and 500nits brightness. With new MagKey 3.0 for the vital WASD keys for tactile precision, the refreshed Predator Helios 18 and Predator Helios 16 come with two additional sets of keys for customization in the box. Meanwhile, MagClick boasts a patented swappable mechanical switch that offers a distinct mechanical bump, and MagSpeed seamlessly integrates speedometer aesthetics with vibrant LED lighting underneath, contributing to captivating visual effects.
Beyond the customizable RGB backlit keyboards, the laptops’ Predator logos and Infinity Mirror lighting bar RGB effects on the top can be customized using the latest all-in-one PredatorSense™. This app is also the central control and monitoring hub for adjusting performance modes and fan settings on the laptops.

The more accessible Predator Helios Neo 16 is refreshed with up to 14th gen Intel Core i7 paired with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. With maximum total power (CPU + GPU) of up to 300W, the Helios Neo caters to the adventures of more casual and entry-level gamers and enables users to do more beyond gaming and creation.
As an added boost, the laptop can be configured with up to 16GB DDR5 5600 MHz memory that is upgradable to 64GB and up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. The Predator Cooling System combines 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan technology, liquid metal thermal grease on their CPUs, and vector heat pipes for efficient heat transfer ensures that the laptops’ maximum output is sustained throughout duration of use. 3
On top of impressive internals, the Helios Neo 16 laptop showcases stunning visuals on its WQXGA (2560 x 1600) 240Hz IPS display. The PredatorSense 5.0 utility application give users full control and allows them to add personal touches to their devices. For gamers and performance seekers who are looking for the latest fully optimized gaming desktop, Acer introduced the Nitro 50 refreshed with 14th Gen Intel Core i5-14400F processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX4060 GPU in its 18-liter chassis.
Featuring 8GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB M.2 2280 PCIe SSD, the Nitro 50 also comes with additional expansion slots for future upgrades. The Acer Nitro Sense application enhances user experience by enabling monitoring and optimization of the device.
