Ready. Set. Mechanize! PUBG MOBILE x Mechamato Enters the Battlegrounds

PUBG MOBILE, one of the world’s most popular mobile games, has officially launched its collaboration with Mechamato, produced by Monsta coming from December 15 – January 5 2024!

It was announced that PUBG MOBILE will be releasing Legendary tier in-game items featuring the Mechamato Suit and Mask Set, the Mecha-Machete and the Mechabike (2 Seater Motorcycle). Additionally, official cast voice packs will make their way through MechaBot (voiced by Adzlan Nazir) and Bago Go (voiced by Nizam Abdul Razak).

Players will be treated to an in-game event called “Ready, Set, Mechanize!” where users can collect all the collaboration items. Fans of PUBG MOBILE and Mechamato can redeem FREE voice packs by participating in the gameplay event “Adventures of MechaBot & Bago Go”.

As a globally recognized mobile game, all PUBG MOBILE x Mechamato collaboration items will be available across Southeast Asia.

“We are proud to once again be collaborating with Monsta on this latest endeavour. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for all parties as we continue to improve the gaming experience for our users locally,” says Eugene Chin, Country Manager of Level Infinite.

“In line with our goals to make PUBG MOBILE a game that’s made for Malaysians, we have adapted and optimised our mechanics to meet the players expectation of a local IP collaboration. At the same time, we have the opportunity to showcase what Malaysia entertainment has to offer to the rest of the world.”

Mechamato is a well-known Malaysian animated television series and franchise produced by Monsta. The series features Amato, a young boy who stumbles upon a prison spaceship containing bad robots that have crashed on Earth. He encounters MechaBot, a robot with the ability to Mechanize everyday objects into high-tech devices, and together, they work to defeat and round up the bad robots.

The series has been making waves as the first Malaysian animation to air on Japanese TV Station ‘Tokyo MX’ and was the first non-Japanese animation to win the ‘Anime Fan Award’ at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2023.

“We are thrilled to be partnering again with PUBG MOBILE. Last year’s collaboration with BoBoiBoy was a successful venture and had open doors to more avenues for us. This time, we are bringing in BoBoiBoy’s dad, Mechamato, to enrich the world of PUBG MOBILE. Mechamato will have an even more refreshing experience with exclusive collectibles and fun gameplay. We hope this partnership can attract all fans to have a taste of what Malaysian entertainment can offer,” says Monsta’s Chief Operating Officer, Kee Yong Pin.

PUBG MOBILE x Mechamato marks the second collaboration between Monsta and PUBG MOBILE, after wrapping up a similarly successful collaboration with BoBoiBoy earlier this year.
