Malaysia Autoshow returns in May 2024

The Malaysia Autoshow 2024 (MAS 2024) will open its doors once again this 22nd to 26th May 2024, at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), and will expand to nearby IOI City Mall to bring an even bigger experience for visitors. Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, officiated the event’s soft launch today.

The Autoshow’s seventh edition – organised by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) – continues the tradition of showcasing the latest vehicles on the market, for both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicles (EV) alike, more brands will be highlighted with an expansion from 30,000 square meter to an impressive 40,000 square meters of exhibition space.

Speaking at the MAS 2024 Soft Launch, YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said that through the National Automotive Policy (NAP2020), the policy provides the local automotive industry with a clear direction for future preparations, through the development of Next Generation Vehicles (NxGV) including EVs that are energy efficient and environmentally friendly, in line with launches of the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030, as well as the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).

Four Halls (Hall A, A1, A2 and B) will be showcasing the latest vehicles on offer in Malaysia including the newest Energy Efficient Models. Visitors will also be offered special packages and deals, as well as special finance packages through its bank partner at the show. Meanwhile, Hall C and D will showcase the breadth of 2-wheeler lifestyle – and will be a significant addition to this year’s Autoshow with 2 halls filled with bikes from either the ICE or electric ranges.

This year, the Autoshow will expand to IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, to allow not only for more exhibition space, but to improve overall traffic flow in and out of the show. Visitors can now choose between parking on the show grounds at MAEPS or conveniently at IOI City Mall, where a free shuttle service will be available to transport visitors to MAEPS after purchasing Malaysia Autoshow Tickets at the Main Concourse.

Azrul Reza Aziz, Chief Executive Officer of MARii, in his speech said that building on the achievements of the past, Malaysia Autoshow 2024 is gearing up to be yet another milestone event. The exhibition space will see a significant expansion providing more room for innovation and excitement.

This year’s MAS brought in RM 1 billion marks of potential sales, with nearly 200,000 enthusiastic visitors over the four-day event. The show featured 9 new car and bikes launches, showcasing over 30 car brands and 50 bike brands and accessories, across more than 300 displays, including vehicles, accessories, and cutting-edge technology products.

He added that, Malaysia Autoshow 2024 will also take full advantage of the MAEPS outdoor areas and terrain, and to allow the full car buying experience for visitors, including:

  • Three test drive routes spanning a total 18 kilometres to further allow show visitors to fully experience the cars tested. One of these test drive routes dedicated to High Performance Test Drives
  • Full use of show grounds, featuring vehicle accessories for aftermarket, car auctions, and family’s entertainment. Our exhibit will feature a diverse range of car accessories, catering to individuals seeking safety enhancements and performance upgrades. This dedicated area will not only showcase a variety of spare parts and components but will also highlight electric vehicle (EV) accessories and EV charging ports.
