If you’ve been knackered trying to dig through the antideluvian depths of the Yellow Pages or too bothered at poring through a ton of Google search settings, you’ll likely find the new Page Advisor app a godsend.

The app, which just officially launched today and has seen extensive use prior to this in Singapore allows users to find all manner of services ranging from photography to pet grooming and then get quotations before selecting one based on price or ratings. After the job is done, you can rate how well the service was completed and vice versa for the merchant.

Payment for services is made via credit card with the app acting as a go between of sorts with payment released after the job is completed. To ensure someone dodgy doesn’t turn up on your doorstep, the app gives an authentication number for certified merchants so that customers will know it’s the right chap they called and not someone else.

Service providers are not charged a directory or listing fee to sign up and pay a modest platform fee if a job is completed via Page Advisor. Currently, there’s over 1,500 companies and businesses that have signed up with Page Advisor with more to come in the future. The app is available on the Google Play store and the iTunes app store. For now, first time users can get a rebate of RM20 on their first Page Advisor transaction.
