We have got our hands on the brand new S21 Phantom Violet ahead of the pre-order. Unlike past years where Samsung will throw lavish grand launching events to mark its product entrance to the market, but for the past twelve months is different – no thanks to the pandemic. Let’s take a quick tour on what the Galaxy S21 got to offer.

Packing
So much slimmer and compact. Once unboxed, once word – minimalist. The phone, the charging cable, the SIM pin and a few pieces of paper. That’s it. Gone are the charger and earphone in the name of “protecting the environment”. The one we have got is the gorgeous Phantom Violet in 256GB storage.

Important Features
Charging the Galaxy S21 is really fast. Although there is no charger included, we are using other brand’s USB charger and it still works fine. Charging is really faster than usual and in no time, we are ready to explore the beauty of the S21.

The Look
This is the 6.2″ AMOLED 2 Infinity-O display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and viewing, designed for those who want a light design and compact. The display is also easy on the eyes. To help reduce eye fatigue, the new Eye Comfort Shield automatically adjusts the blue light based on the time of day, content you’re viewing, and your bedtime. At the back, the Galaxy S21 is powered by the triple-lens pro-grade camera, a 12MP super wide-angle, 12MP standard lens and a 64MP tele lens. This combination of lenses is enough for most of your photography need. Not forgetting the selfie front camera, the 10MP gives you the look you can’t resist. The camera system intuitively assesses and adjusts to your scene to ensure you can perfectly capture any environment.

Video
Now, the S21 shoots 8K video. The improved 8K Snap lets you grab crystal clear images from your 8K video footage, so you can capture all the live-action and get standout still shots every time you hit record. Even in fast-moving or bumpy conditions, your footage will be buttery-smooth with Super Steady video at an improved 60fps.

New Director’s View lets you see, switch, and select the best shot to tell your best story. Capture video with the front and rear cameras at once for real-time reactions with Vlogger View, and preview or change the angle, zoom or go wide without losing any action with Live Thumbnails. With the power of AI, the popular Single Take feature allows you to capture a variety of still and video formats with one tap. The slow-motions and super slow motion, Super Steady ON modes give you an extra idea to keep your creativity flow.
