To enable users to have a true smart home cleaning experience, ECOVACS dedicates their effort on obstacle recognition technology, so that the robot will not be easily tangled by objects and require less attention and support from the user during the cleaning process. DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI – Equipped with Latest Optimized AIVI™ Technology for Sophisticated Obstacle Avoidance and OZMO™ Pro Oscillating Mopping System.
With the latest optimized AIVI™ Technology, the DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI can automatically recognize objects including shoes, charging docks, cables, clothes, and socks to avoid obstacles and reduce the robot’s risk of getting stuck by 60%when compared to earlier models.
The cleaning powerhouse offers simultaneous 2-in-1 vacuuming and mopping functionality, combining precision and quick-reacting skills to remove up to 99.26% of bacteria. With advanced carpet detection, the DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI will also automatically avoid carpet when mopping. The T8 AIVI also comes with the OZMO™ Pro Oscillating Mopping System included, which enables it to deal with stubborn stains by using electrically powered high-frequency vibration (480 times/minute), and a unique fine mopping mode comparable to an electronic mop, further enhancing its mopping ability as it simulates a scrubbing motion.
Additionally, the DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI features on-demand Video Manager that further cements its position as a personal and powerful housekeeping robot. With the real time camera acting as an on-demand video manager for the entire house, users can choose to use it for watching the home and monitoring the status of pets, children, or elders in their house anytime and anywhere through the ECOVACS Home App.

DEEBOT OZMO T8 – Smart-Environmental Perception Technology to Identify and Avoid Obstacles
By using ECOVACS’ advanced TrueDetect 3D Technology, which is based on a structured light technology and 3D scanning algorithm widely used in advanced facial recognition and mobile payments, the DEEBOT OZMO T8 can identify obstacles precisely and avoid them, while allowing it to move freely when cleaning.
For millimeter-level detection accuracy, the DEEBOT OZMO T8 can detect objects in front from a distance of 4.5cm up to 30cm to obtain high-precision resolution and depth information. It can additionally detect objects as small as 1mm, which is 10 times more accurate than traditional infrared technology. By using real-time 3D scanning, its millimeter-level detection capability allows DEEBOT OZMO T8 to detect small objects such as cables, slippers, pet waste, and slim furniture, which reduces the risk of the robot getting stuck or tangled and enables it to clean quicker and smoother.
The TrueDetect 3D Technology also allows DEEBOT OZMO T8 to precisely detect the height of steps and prevents the robot from dropping down the stairs and being unable to climb back up when the height of stairs ranges from 20mm to 60mm. With its enhanced dark surface recognition ability, DEEBOT OZMO T8 can also efficiently detect dark surface furniture or other objects at a distance of up to 30cm. When it approaches a dark surface object or a piece of furniture, it will actively slow down to avoid direct collisions and damage. The TrueDetect 3D Technology allows the robot to avoid misinterpreting dark carpets as steps as well.
DEEBOT OZMO T8 Family applies aerospace-standard Detection Technology Powers Brand-new TrueMapping™ to Enable Precise and Customized Cleaning
The DEEBOT OZMO T8 family is equipped with TrueMapping laser-based mapping and navigation technology, an aerospace-standard detection technology with a dToF sensor first adopted for this function in the industry by ECOVACS. Floor maps can be created in seconds by the DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI and DEEBOT OZMO T8 to improve overall cleaning efficiency. This allows the robot to intelligently navigate a user’s home, bringing an intelligent and thorough cleaning experience to them throughout.
Furthermore, the DEEBOT OZMO T8 Family also has Multi-floor Mapping Technology that can scan and store multiple maps of different levels of a user’s home. This allows the robot to customize its cleaning process for each level once it identifies the appropriate map. Users can additionally customize where they would like the robot to clean in each map with the customized cleaning function, and to restrict the robot to clean in a specific area with the upgraded Virtual Boundary™ function.
The Virtual Boundary™ function will proactively provide recommendations for virtual walls around areas where it may easily become stuck, with the user only needing to click the confirmation on the ECOVACS Home App to accept the recommendations.
A Reliable Cleaning Partner with Powerful Vacuuming and Mopping Capabilities
The DEEBOT OZMO T8 Family provides powerful vacuuming and mopping capabilities, that can both be completed at the same time, maximizing cleaning efficiency. The robot can easily mop, clean stubborn stains, and removed dust in crevices up to four millimeters deep ensuring optimal cleaning results thanks to the four-step cleaning process.
Along with the OZMO™ Mopping System, featuring an electronically controlled water pump and 240 ml large water tank – the robot ensures long-lasting mopping efficiency by tackling dirt and dried liquid to offer a smooth and consistent clean. What’s more, the OZMO™ Mopping System can remove over 99% of bacteria based on the test report from a Japanese testing agency.
With a larger battery of 5200 m(A)h, DEEBOT OZMO T8 family can work for three hours and clean large areas of up to 300 sqm easily. The robot’s carpet detection technology allows it to automatically increase suction power on carpets when vacuuming and avoid carpets when mopping, keeping the cleaning experience completely automated and thorough for users.
When paired with the ECOVACS Home App, or smart home devices such as Amazon Echo/Dot and Google Home, users can also control the robot remotely. The intuitive robot will manage its own updates adding new features and functions in the future by using OTA technology. Users can update the App to get the optimized functions.
Power-up Kits
As part of the launch of the DEEBOT OZMO T8 Family, two power-up kits – OZMO™ Pro Oscillating Mopping System and Auto-Empty Station – will soon be introduced to enhance overall cleaning performance and user experience. Both will be compatible with DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI and DEEBOT OZMO T8. Users of T8 AIVI will have the OZMO™ Pro Oscillating Mopping System included while DEEBOT OZMO T8+ included with the Auto-Empty Station.
The OZMO™ Pro Oscillating Mopping System is an interchangeable enhanced mopping module that enabled the robots to deal with stubborn stains 5X more efficient than human by using electrically powered high-frequency vibration, and a unique fine mopping mode comparable to an electronic mop, which makes it the most powerful mopping ability in its kind. The other kit is the Auto-Empty Station which cleans the robot’s dustbin automatically after cleaning. The station’s disposable dust bag holds up to 30 days of dirt and debris to dramatically reduce the need to frequently replace the dust bag, so that users can enjoy cleaning homes for weeks without the hassle of dumping the bag.

The DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI is available today and is priced at RM2,299 while the DEEBOT OZMO T8 and DEEBOT OZMO T8+ will be available at the end of August, and they will be priced at RM1,999 and RM2,699 respectively.
