Acer Malaysia today introduced a new range of affordable monitors under the AOpen brand to provide more options for users seeking practical monitors at affordable prices. The arrival of AOpen into the Malaysian market is celebrated with an array of promotions which include up to 14% cash back in a 4-hour shocking sale and new arrival promotion that offers free gifts worth up to RM168.
The “new normal” has fast-forwarded digitalization in Malaysia with some companies implementing work-from-home policies even beyond the Movement Control Order (MCO) period. Schools have also fast-tracked into e-learning classrooms. These changes increase the need for more conducive working or e-learning set-ups at home. To meet this need, Acer Malaysia introduced the AOpen monitors to allow customers to complete their set-up or even add a secondary screen at a lower investment.

AOpen does not compromise on the viewing experience despite the affordable price tag. The AOpen monitors feature Acer BlueLight Shield and Flicker-less technology that lowers blue light exposure and eliminates stressful screen flickering. AOpen monitors also come with a unique form of 6-axis colour adjustment to aid customers who require obtaining exact colours and hues.
Equipped with a 21.5-inch FHD VA panel, AOpen 22CV1Q features the basic 60Hz refresh rate or 1920×1080 FHD resolution at 75Hz refresh rate via HDMI and 5ms response time. It retails at a recommended retail price at RM289. Its bigger brother, AOpen 24CL1Y is equipped with a 23.8-inch FHD IPS panel that preserves image clarity and prime colours from every angle up to 178° and its recommended price is RM379.
Acer also brought in the AOpen 27HC5RP 27-inch curved monitor featuring overclocking up to 165Hz refresh rate with AMD FreeSync support, enabling detection of all details on-screen. With a recommended retail price of RM699, the AOpen 27HC5RP also comes with Zero Frame design, VESA mount, and tilt adjustable stand that allow users to find their ideal viewing position.
The AOpen monitors will be available on 5 June 2020 onwards. In conjunction with the arrival of AOpen, Acer Malaysia is collaborating with select authorized resellers to reward customers with a wired mouse (worth RM29.90), Acer Vacuum Flask (worth RM39.90) and Predator Cestus 310 Mouse plus DisplayPort cable (worth RM168) for the purchase of AOpen 22CV1Q, AOpen 24CL1Y and AOpen 27HC5RP respectively. The promotion runs from 5 June until 12 June 2020 with limited units available.
Aside from that, Acer is also conducting a 9-hour Shocking Sale on Shopee with limited units of AOpen 22CV1Q at RM40 off and AOpen 24CL1Y at RM50 off. The Shopee Shocking Sale will take place at 12 midnight on 7 June 2020; the free gifts from new arrival promotion are not part of the Shocking Sale.
