The following are some of the key solutions that will be showcased at the centre.

OLED Displays: The Future of Digital Signage is Here

OLED display technology is the market’s best-in-class solution right now. And LG is the leader in this field. The OLED’s self-lighting pixels switch off completely to reproduce absolute blacks with no light bleed, thus offering infinite contrast. They promise accurate color reproduction to offer vivid display. With just two layers and no backlight, OLED displays are incredibly lightweight and thin. Their wide-viewing angles also deliver an awe-inspiring picture quality across the entire screen.

OLED Dual-View Signage for Seamless Playback

Featuring a slim design and versatility, LG’s 65-inch one by four Dual-View Curved Tiling OLED signage consists of eight connected double-sided, flexible OLED panels for superior image rendering viewed from any angle. Each panel offers 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) image quality with 3,840 x 2,160 individual pixels while its system on a chip and 128GB of internal memory work together to deliver perfect UHD playback without the need for a separate computer or media player.

The Dual-View Flat OLED Signage (55EH5C) blends pencil-thin design, artistic value and display functionality into one. It boasts Full HD resolution, a brightness level of 400 cd/square meters as well as an impressive bezel of 2mm. Thanks to its innovative slim design, it offers a dual-view display which saves on space while optimally screening the contents. It can also be suspended from the ceiling, deployed as a floor stand or mounted on the wall.

Scalable Video Walls for Creative Installations

With LG’s OLED Video Wall, businesses and organizations can think of new ways to create spellbinding and interactive experiences. At the centre, guests will get to see LG’s 65-inch OLED Video Wall solutions. In particular, the 1×3 OLED Video Wall unit can be connected with other units to create signs of various configurations. It is easy to install and can be customized to create creative solutions that deliver impactful experiences. Also, they are equipped with an image adjustment algorithm that can adjust to objects located within the bezel boundary for a seamless viewing experience.

OLED Signage Case Studies: A Myriad of Creative Display Possibilities

South Korea’s Incheon International Airport has tapped on LG’s OLED displays to redesign its passenger experience. Its main terminal is adorned with massive structure walls that leave passengers in awe. Each of the two displays composes of 140 55-inch curved OLED panels, resulting in displays that stand at 13 meters in length and 8 meters in width. The two curved displays feature a variety of content, such as brilliant fireworks set against a night sky. And because every pixel in an OLED display emits its own light, there is no need for heavy LED backlighting, making the airport displays incredibly light and flexible that it allows them to hang from the ceiling with minimal support.

Tourist destination N Seoul Tower has also set the gold standard of visitor experience by utilizing LG’s digital signage solutions. The beautiful entrance is a curved OLED tunnel, on which images of Seoul are projected. Visitors then move on to the 14-meter OLED panorama, which showcases the exquisite Gyeongbokgung Palace in different seasons. Another OLED display in N Seoul Tower is the OLED Wave that is set on the ceiling, it comprises of 120 curved OLED panels, achieving picture quality that is 30 times better than UHD TV. Visitors also get to view artist Kathy Klein’s Danmala series via the OLED Circle, which promises real blacks, life-like colors and uncompromised image clarity that does justice to the artist’s beautiful mandala-inspired motifs.

With LG’s new OLED Video Walls, the newly constructed Lotte World Tower has managed to elevate the visitor experience skyward. The highest building in Korea, the venue recently installed 55-inch OLED Signage Wall in its two Sky Shuttles with double layers, a total of 60 units installed. The walls and ceilings are all fitted with the solutions, thus creating a thrilling and immersive virtual reality environment. The videos depict the many tourist attractions in Seoul, from Kyung Bok palace to the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and Jamsil Baseball Stadium. The surreal experience almost feels as if one is journeying through all these places in just a matter of a few minutes.

LCD Video Walls Push the Boundaries of Interactive Engagement

LG’s 55-inch LCD screens with the world’s narrowest even bezel will also be on display at the LG Asia Business Innovation Centre. The solutions have a narrow bezel, which enables the overall video wall image to resemble a single, complete display.

The Social Tree at Changi Airport is one example of how LG’s LCD video walls can bring the fun to everyday customers. Towering at 8.7-meter-high, 11.1-meter-wide larger-than-life installation sits at the heart of Terminal One at the Central Piazza. Symbolizing the global connections offered by the airport, the hi-tech installation composes of 64 47-inch digital displays in the form of a cylindrical video wall and eight kiosks where travelers can post images and also share photographs and videos via Facebook and email. The design furthermore incorporates 100 bars that stretch up and flex outwards, a tribute to Changi Airport’s international reach.

Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre has also left a lasting impression on its visitors with its mega LCD digital wall. Affectionately called The Big Picture, the installation is touted by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest high-definition video wall. Part of the modern facade of the building, the video wall combines 664 LCD screens and stands at more than three stories high and 60 meters wide, The Big Picture serves as an iconic feature that showcases contents of Suntec Singapore’s Convention and Exhibition Centre’s facilities, partners, events and advertisers.

Other world-class organizations have also tapped onto the concept of video walls to wow their customers. The world’s leading brand in gaming, Razer, was the first global deployment carried out by LG B2B Solutions in Asia. Display and experience stores were installed with LG displays and SuperSignTM content management software across Asia and North America to display marketing and promotional contents – the biggest display being a 3 by 5 video wall at their San Francisco branch outlet amongst other standalone screens.

LG’s Ultra Stretch Digital Signage Enhances Return of Investment

Another brand that has managed to elevate the customer experience is Lagardère’s The Fashion Gallery, Changi Airport. At the entrance of the gallery sit expansive and unique displays that command the attention of passersby: LG’s 86-inch Ultra Stretch digital solution (86BH5C). This ultra-wide 58:9 bar-type widescreen signage delivers an immersive UHD viewing experience in an extraordinary 3,840 x 600 format. Thanks to its Picture-by-Picture feature, it can divide a screen into four parts, displaying up to four separate types of video content simultaneously. The solution utilizes LG Ultra Stretch Content Manager software for fast and convenient customization of images and video content. With this software, updating advertising messages and content is no longer a hassle, a feature that is especially convenient in a fast-paced industry such as fashion.

Other than the Ultra Stretch, LG has in its arsenal digital retail signage solutions that can enliven the customer experience while improving return on investment. They boast the ability to screen high-definition content such as dynamic Point of Purchase advertising, branding videos, and interactive graphic interfaces. This instantly grabs customers’ attention to increase footfall, achieve impact, strengthen customer loyalty with consistent branding messages and push conversion rates with engaging product information and expanded assortment offerings.

Ultra HD, Ultra Impressive

Other industry-leading LCD digital signage technologies will also be featured at LG Asia Business Innovation Centre. Think big with the 98LS95A, an UHD Premium Large Display that is an alternative to the traditional 2×2 video wall. It shares the same salient features as other models, such as 86UH5C, 75UH5C, 65UH5C and 55UH5C. Expect flawless content delivery on a large screen as well as nifty features such as Picture-by-Picture or Picture-in-Picture which offers four divided split screens in landscape or portrait formats.

Unique LED Transparent Film: A First in the Market

Another unique technology at the centre incorporates LED diodes in a transparent film that can be installed over windows to expand installation options. Converting ordinary glass into stunning digital signage, this LED film can offer eye-catching digital content and information while interacting seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

Turn Visitors into Customers

Effective advertising messages deserve a platform where they can shine, and LG’s standard signage is that platform. The signage solutions’ high-performance System-on-Chips can execute several tasks at the same time and guarantee smooth content playback. They boast Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture features so brand owners can decide the best layouts for their advertisements. The webOS platform also makes content creation a cinch while LG’s software development kit makes content development and management easy. Best of all, the content can be created, distributed and controlled without a need for a dedicated computer or server, so there is no need to hire a tech personnel just to maintain it.

Reach an Even Larger Audience with Outdoor Displays

Only the most durable installations are suited to brave the outdoors. LG’s outdoor display solutions, from Open Frame Displays to Window Facing and Enclosure solutions, check the criteria of superb performance, 24/7 reliability and stunning visual image quality. Buoyed by their anti-reflection coating, the solutions will encounter less interference between reflected external light and back light. The conformal coating also enhances circuit board reliability by safeguarding it against dust, iron shavings, humidity and weather conditions.

LG’s Open Frame Displays can be deployed in airports as billboards to pique the interest of incoming tourists. Features such as smart brightness control help to save power whenever necessary, and real-time remote monitoring allows businesses to rectify any error quickly without losing engagement. LG’s Window Facing solutions are also a perfect choice for in-window environments. Its noise level is under 25dB, making it even quieter than a recording studio. It is able to operate even in high temperatures, and also offers excellent energy-efficiency and cost savings.

Achieve that Personal Touch with LG’s Touch Screen Displays

Customer and guest engagement can also be improved by directly involving them in the experience. LG’s wide range of touch screen display solutions is designed to bring brand messages to audiences in a variety of creative ways. The 84TR3B and KT-T751, for example, boast a 10-point multi-touch experience: they can recognize up to 10 simultaneous touches without needing a separate pen. This means more customers, family members or friends can get in on the action at any one time. Equipped with a no-ghosting technology, the solutions allow audiences to write, draw and express their ideas in a seamless manner. This tactile experience is personal, and a surefire way for audiences to better remember a business’s branding message and products.

Redefining Hospitality

Buoyed by LG’s holistic hospitality solution comprising of commercial-grade LCD, touch screens, and stretch screens, hotels can now make a strong first impression and design a five-star guest experience. These solutions can be used for digital way-finding, information dissemination, menu boards and dynamic advertising purposes.

Charlotte Marriott City Center, United States of America, is an example of a hotel that has reaped benefits by tapping on LG’s solutions. Understanding that hotel guests not only utilize TVs for entertainment but also at times for communication purposes, the TV was recognised as a key communication tool to provide hotel-related information and amenities. By installing LG OLED TVs and monitors in its M Club Lounge, the hotel has created a collaborative space where guests can work and seek entertainment.

Its unique communal guest space also boasts innovative video walls with ultra-slim bezels that transform the typical hotel gym into an interactive center.
