When we had a quick once-over of Huawei’s Honor brand’s latest addition to their arsenal, the Honor 4x, we were rather chuffed though we weren’t able to pin a price tag to what was essentially a rather respectable phone sporting the equivalent of what a solid upper tier phone would be packing last year. The Honor 4x comes with a 5.5-inch 720P 320ppi screen running Huawei’s own in-house Kirin 620 1.2GHz processor with 2GB RAM.
Storage is somewhat frugal at 8GB of onboard memory though a microSD card slot easily supplements it to deal with the problem. The rear camera is a 13-MP job with LED flash while the front 5-MP videocall camera is ideal for selfies. To power the whole thing, the Honor 4X crams in a rather large 3000mAh battery that give a good two days plus of battery life. Where it stands out though is that it has dual micro SIM card slots that both support Cat 4 LTE connectivity.
Well, we’ve finally gotten the price for this rather handsome phone and it’s, as you’d expect of the Honor brand, surprisingly affordable. The Honor 4X, will be available for preorder online at their online store at vmall.my starting from 3PM tomorrow afternoon (Malaysian time) and will retail for RM619. Very agreeable prices for what you’re getting indeed and no, it’s not a joke on account of the date. Check out our full review in T3 magazine’s April issue.
