At the event, Microsoft also announced their collaboration with Malaysia’s foremost cartoonist, Reggie Lee, who will bring his brand of humor to life in unique style for Surface Pro 3.  “We wanted to create something creative and relatable to Malaysians everywhere, and we are confident Reggie’s unique designs and clever reflections of Malaysian life will add greater flavor to Surface Pro 3,” said Carlos Lacerda, Managing Director of Microsoft Malaysia.

“It is an exciting opportunity for me to be working with Microsoft Malaysia to share my interpretation of Malaysians and how they assimilate technology into their lives,” said Reggie Lee at the launch event. “Having used the Surface Pro 3 myself, I am pleased to say the device certainly ticked many of the right boxes for a person working in a creative environment: it was light, it was fast, it had plenty of processing power, and the touch-sensitive Surface Pen made sketching artwork a breeze,” he added. Reggie was at the event to demonstrate his work on Surface Pro 3 and delighted the crowd with his live-sketching.

Surface Pro 3 arrives as consumers are increasingly looking to simplify their digital lives. According to research conducted by Microsoft, 79 percent of working professionals in Asia Pacific own three or more types of devices – smartphones, laptops, desktop computers and tablets. This creates unnecessary weight, cost and loss of productivity. Surface Pro 3 can help working professionals in Asia Pacific lighten their load while keeping them more productive on the go. Surface Pro 3 offers multiple processor, RAM and storage options in a sleek design that, with a simple click, transforms from a perfectly balanced tablet to a full-functioning laptop.

“Our research is clear: people want just one device that does everything. Our vision is that Surface Pro 3 is the tablet that can replace your laptop—packing all the performance and utility of a fully powered laptop into a thin, light and beautifully designed tablet. You’ll love being able to carry one device for your next class, workday or weekend getaway knowing you have all the power you need,” added Lacerda.

The research also shows that 41 percent of working professionals in Asia Pacific carry both their tablets and laptops at all times because they cannot find a single device that meets their combined needs. According to Rukmani Subramanian, Chief Marketing and Operations Officer, Microsoft Malaysia, “Surface Pro 3 is ideal for anyone who wants to streamline his or her lifestyle and get stuff done – not just mobile professionals, but also students and people in business environments who need high levels of corporate access, data security and central manageability. With a 12” display, Surface Pro 3 has the power of a laptop in a lightweight, versatile form. It is the ultimate device you can own that packs a lot of power under the hood,” she said.
