Kuala Lumpur (23 July 2014) – Sony Malaysia today held its first and exclusive Hi-Resolution Sound Clinic to display the premium Walkman® NWZ-ZX1, designed especially for those who demand the very best in music playback quality while on the go. The workshop, aims to offer all of its Hi-Resolution products, is held for consumers who are interested in learning about the Hi-Resolution technology in its high-end premium Walkman®, headphones and Hi-Fi lineup.
Launched in the beginning of the year, the ZX-1 utilizes its proprietary audio technologies and support for Hi-Resolution Audio to offer six times the audio quality than what a CD can deliver, Sony has developed a high-performance portable music player that takes its listener right into the recording studio or concert.
Carved out of a solid piece of aluminum, the body of the new Walkman® NWZ-ZX1 has a molded base at its rear which acts as an amp block to house all electrical components necessary for high-quality music reproduction. These features help minimise any unwanted inference and electrical noise to deliver stable high-quality 196KHz/24bit audio in various formats, including FLAC, Apple Lossless and AIFF.
Powered by a OMAP™4 Cortex-A9 1GHz dual-core processor, the ZX1 has the latest S-Master digital amplifier built in, which helps to reduce distortion and noise at all frequency ranges – from ground-shaking lows to delicate highs – and is optimised for High-Resolution Audio. DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) HX technology upgrades the audio quality of existing compressed sound files to near hi-resolution audio quality. And with ClearAudio+ to ensure realistic and distinct audio playback, consumers will be hearing music just as the artist intended.
Similar to the F880 and Z1000 digital media players, the NWZ-ZX1 combines the audio quality that the Walkman® brand is known for with the versatility of the Android platform. Running on Android 4.1, a host of connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth also give users unlimited options when playing music either at home, outdoors or any other location – just with a simple wireless pairing of compatible devices.
The flagship NWZ-ZX1 comes with 128GB of onboard memory, making it the largest capacity Walkman® ever produced by Sony. Viewing of the large library of high-quality music files is made easy with its brilliant 4-inch (854 x 480 pixel) TRILUMINOS Display for mobile touchscreen.
