Canon Receives 3 'Pick' Awards

Canon has proven yet again its merit as one of the world’s leading digital imaging solutions provider. Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Canon) has today proudly announced that the company has received three prestigious ‘Pick’ awards from Buyers Laboratory Inc (BLI) for three of its products – uniFLOW v5.2, imageRUNNER ADVANCE (iR-ADV) 4235 and iR-ADV 8295.

  1. Outstanding Output Management Solution
    Receiving BLI’s Winter 2014 Pick Award for Outstanding Output Management Solution is Canon’s uniFLOW v5.2, an integrated print and scan management software that offers business users optimum efficacy and savings.
  2. Winter 2014 Pick Award for Outstanding 31- to 40-ppm in the A3 Monochrome Multi-Function Device (MFD) category
    Canon’s imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4235 also won in the 31 to 40-ppm in the A3 (MFD) category. The advanced design of the 4235 renders the MFDs easy-to-use and customisable, allowing users to personalise the way they work.
  3. Outstanding 90+ ppm in the A3 Monochrome Multi-Function Device (MFD) category
    Canon’s imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8295 won as well for Outstanding 90++ ppm in the same category. Helping businesses to reduce their carbon footprint and save more, the MFD incorporate eco-friendly solutions, including power saving features.

BLI is an independent evaluator of document imaging hardware and software, rigorously testing products for their quality, efficacy and contribution to consumers and businesses. The coveted BLI ‘Pick’ awards are presented twice yearly, recognising the best performers of the in-depth tests within various categories.

Receiving BLI’s Winter 2014 Pick Award for Outstanding Output Management Solution is Canon’s uniFLOW v5.2, an integrated print and scan management software that offers business users optimum efficacy and savings.

Responsible, convenient and secure printing
The uniFLOW v5.2 not only helps businesses track and monitor devise usage; it also performs rule-based printing that re-routes print jobs to the most efficient device available, thus reducing further the business’ printing cost. Print jobs can also be conveniently viewed and sent via mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets.

uniFLOW v5.2 comes with a Secure Audit module to help businesses track, monitor and record print releases of confidential information only when the authorised user is physically present at the device, further increasing the level of security within the company.

Powerful productivity in MFDs
Canon was also honoured with two other BLI awards – the Winter 2014 Pick Award for Outstanding 31- to 40-ppm in the A3 Monochrome Multi-Function Device (MFD) category for imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4235 (known as 4200 series) as well as for Outstanding 90+ ppm in the same category for imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8295 (recognized as 8200 series).

Ideal for confined spaces, the 4200 series is specifically designed for office workgroups and departments, whereas the 8200 series is suitable for light productions, offices with high volume printing and businesses with dedicated print rooms.

Advanced productivity, performance and control
The advanced design of the 4235 and 8295 models renders the MFDs easy-to-use and customisable, allowing users to personalise the way they work. Businesses can accomplish print jobs with minimal downtime, with their advanced workflow capabilities that seamlessly integrate Canon and third-party software solutions.

Business productivity will also get a boost with the iR-ADV 4235’s print speed of 35-ppm and 95-ppm for the 8295 model, with nominal compromise on quality. Additionally, the iR-ADV 8295 supports optional finishers and booklet finishers for added professionalism.
