Pikom Raises Fund For Charity

– PIKOM, the National ICT Association of Malaysia, ends the year with its 6TH Annual Charity Golf Tournament on 17 December 2013 at Sg. Long Golf and Country Club.

Started in 2008, PIKOM Annual Charity Golf Tournament has been the association’s major charity event with the support of various corporate companies and individual players. Every year, the proceeds from the Charity Golf Tournament benefit different homes or victims of natural disasters.

“This year, we are thankful and fortunate to have raised RM60, 000 which will be donated to the

  1. Children’s Home of Hope through National Cancer Society of Malaysia (RM25,000),
  2. Pantai Timur flood victims through Yayasan Salam Malaysia (RM25,000),
  3. Myanmar Children Learning Centre through SIBKL Community (RM10,000).

We are especially grateful to YB Datuk Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof, Minister of Works who committed a RM30,000 of donation from his office at the charity event,” said Cheah Kok Hoong, Chairman of PIKOM.

Guest of Honour, YB Datuk Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof, Minister of Works who has been supportive to PIKOM in its charity programs and events, graced the ceremony participated by 108 Senior Executives representing 40 corporate companies.

Sponsors of this Charity deed are Ministry of Works, Indah Water, Silverlake, Multimedia Development Corporation, NEUROPOWER, Powerware, Cynnyx Sdn Bhd, KPMG, KL Convention Centre, Bano Water & M-Mode Berhad.

Through the years, over RM550, 000 has been raised by PIKOM Charity Golf Tournament to help the worthy charities.
