Kuala Lumpur (7th November 2013) – Businesses in this day and age have evolved to become increasingly flexible and mobile. Understanding the importance for its consumers in these modern times to remain connected, productive and efficient, Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Canon) is proud to announce the launch of three new models to add to its imageCLASS colour laser multi-function printer (MFP) range, which include the MF8210Cn (3-in1), MF8280Cw and MF8580Cdw (4-in-1).

“The new imageCLASS models are ideal solutions for growing businesses that require an all-in-one workflow support that will also be capable of supporting future growth in size and infrastructure within the company,” said Mr Simon Wong, Director of Consumer System Products (CSP) Division of Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. “Besides compatibility with mobile printing solutions such as Apple® AirPrint™, Google® Cloud Print™ and Canon Mobile Printing App, larger enterprises can also benefit from the built-in Secure Print available in the imageCLASS MF8580Cdw.”

What makes these latest imageCLASS models even more noteworthy is that they are also Canon’s first colour laser MFPs printers that support Apple® AirPrint™ and Google® Cloud Print™ applications. This makes printing and document managing even more convenient. Whenever they are on the go, users are able to connect to the printers via the cloud applications and fulfil printing jobs simply by using their iPhone, iPad, Smart phone and tablet PCs, thus saving precious time.

Connectivity for the Digital Age

Shared wired and wireless connectivity, fast printing speeds, and increased cost savings and security features are all but some of which makes the newly launched imageCLASS laser MFPs the ideal printing solutions for large or small businesses.

All three models – the MF8210Cn, MF8280Cw and MF8580Cdw are equipped with wired 10/100 Base-T/TX Ethernet support which enables users to easily share resources over the office network. On top of that, the imageCLASS MF8280Cw and MF8580Cdw also come with 802.11 b/g/n wireless support, allowing users to send their print jobs conveniently from wherever they are as long as they are within range.

High Speed and Optimal Quality Prints

Users will also find their productivity increased with the MFPs’ enhanced printing speed that does not compromise on quality. Designed with Canon’s proprietary UFR II LT print language, the MF8210Cn and MF8280Cw can produce colour documents at up to 14 pages per minute (ppm), and the MF8580Cdw at 20ppm in both black and white, and colour. Thanks to the polymerised Canon S-toner, users can be sure to have print outputs that feature smooth lines and radiant colours with crisp and clearly defined text.

Efficient Management of Resources

In addition, with dedicated paper cassettes and document feed slots, the imageCLASS printers are more than capable of meeting the business’ demands regardless of the print volume in the office. Ideal for smaller businesses, the MF8210Cn and MF8280Cw are equipped with a 150-sheet paper cassette along with a single sheet manual feed slot. Meanwhile, the MF8580Cdw features a 250-sheet paper cassette, a multi-purpose tray, and a further optional 250-sheet paper cassette specifically catered for larger businesses, which effectively reduces the need to constantly refill papers. Besides that, the MF8580Cdw’s Duplex Automatic Document Feeder (DADF) function allows for copying and printing on both sides of the sheet, enabling businesses to save even more on paper cost.

Convenient and Secure Printing

All three models are equipped with a Department ID Management feature. Office administrators can register up to 300 IDs, which provides businesses with better overall control of print jobs and prevent unauthorised access. Furthermore, these models also support IPSec and IEEE 802.1X authentication for greater security over the office network.

For print jobs with confidential and/or sensitive information, users can be rest assured, as the imageCLASS MF8580Cdw is built-in with the Secure Print function that requires an input of a unique code prior to printing.

If that is not enough, users are also able to bypass the use of computers altogether to commence printing. All three imageCLASS models provide a Direct Print feature where they are able to print quickly and conveniently right from a USB flash storage media.

User-friendly and Hassle Free Maintenance

Designed to be more user-friendly, the printers feature a new and larger 3.5 inch QVGA colour LCD display screen, enabling users to view up to seven lines of text and animation, whilst the pre-configured settings of the One-Touch Solution Keys allows user to apply setting with a press of a button. Additionally, the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) feature on the MF8580Cdw allows for quick access to stored addresses and fax numbers, enabling users to print or scan over information quickly and accurately to the intended recipient.

Toner cartridge replacements are also simple and hassle-free with the imageCLASS models’ All-in-One cartridge design that combines toner reservoir, photo sensitive drum and waste toner container into one single unit, allowing users to focus on completing other more important tasks.

The imageCLASS MF8210Cn (3-in1), MF8280Cw and MF8580Cdw (4-in-1) will be available at selected Canon authorised outlets and stocks will be available from October onwards.
