ASUS Transformer Book T100 First Quad-Core Convertible To Launch

Kuala Lumpur (17th October 2013) – ASUS and Intel Malaysia gave local tech journalists a preview of the Transformer Book T100, a convertible tablet/laptop that features the latest quad-core Atom processor, codenamed Bay Trail. The 10-inch tablet comes packaged with a detachable dock which houses a full-sized keyboard plus an additional 2-cell battery to complement the built-in power pack, giving users up to 11 hours of battery life.

Weighing in at just above 1kg with the keyboard/dock attached, the Transformer Book T100 is powered by Intel’s Bay Trail-T Quad Core Z3740 processor running at 1.33 GHz. It ships with a standard 2GB of RAM plus 32GB of storage; a 64GB version will be available at a later date. The storage capacity can be supplemented via a microSD slot on the tablet or the USB 3.0 slot on the keyboard dock. The T100 is also the first tablet to have Windows 8.1 pre-installed.

The ASUS Transformer Book T100 will be available in the Malaysian market from the 18th of October onwards at a recommended retail price of RM1,299. For more information, visit ASUS’ website.
