Kuala Lumpur (July 17, 2013) – Mobility and productivity are vital attributes in today’s market as many are operating on-the-go. Seeing how mobile and computing devices become the core of many users’ work and lifestyles, Samsung Malaysia Electronics introduced its proprietary SideSync technology that enables users to switch from working on their PC to an Android-based Samsung smartphone.

Consumers’ PC and smartphones are now one with Samsung SideSync technology. With simplicity and ease, users can use their PC keyboard to respond to a text on their Android-based Samsung smartphones; view larger maps, photos and multimedia displayed on both devices to make editing files even easier. This eliminates the hassle of transferring the files from a device to another as edits can be made on the same file and shared instantly with colleagues and friends.

The technology also enables consumers to use their PC to back up and charge their mobile devices – allowing users to get back to the task at hand with fewer interruptions to work and everyday life. This provides a seamless experience for users while working on-the-go and makes multi-tasking easier without the need of multiple devices and cords.

“The market is moving towards the Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) trend as a more efficient and cost saving way for business operations. In addressing the current market trends, we believe the Samsung SideSync technology will bring greater ease and convenience to both business owners and employees as they can now operate their PC and mobile devices using the same control mechanism. Work is now simplified and advanced to meet the changing trends and the needs of current market demands,” said Kwon Jae Hoon, Managing Director of Samsung Malaysia Electronics.

‘We will strive to design more technologies, products and services to meet the needs of the market and bring smarter solutions to consumers,” he added.

The availability of SideSync technology was recently announced alongside the expansion of Samsung’s ATIV brand to include its leading Windows-based PCs. ATIV, previously the brand for the company’s Smart PC Windows-based hybrid devices, now represents the convergence of PC and mobile technologies and unites all of Samsung’s Windows PCs and devices under one cohesive brand.

In tune with the needs and wants of today’s evolving consumers, the Samsung ATIV line offers a variety of market leading Windows PC devices designed to extend the mobile experience from their handset to laptop and vice versa, making work more seamless and life more convenient.
