Malaysia (3 July 2013) – Canon launches the imageCLASS LBP7780Cx, a high-performance colour laser printer which provides flexible printing capabilities and high-quality output to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), as well as Large Enterprises.

With a First Printout Time in just 10.4 seconds for colour and 10.2 seconds for mono print-outs, and a Recovery Time in a mere 7 seconds, the LBP7780Cx maximizes user productivity effortlessly. The LBP7780Cx is capable of printing up to 32 pages-per-minute (ppm), with a maximum print resolution of up-to 9600dpi x 600dpi equivalent.
High quality printouts are assured with the chemically produced, polymerized Canon S-toner, producing clean lines and optimum gloss for business colour documents.
The device also comes with support for the PCL 5c/6 and Genuine Adobe PostScript Level 3 print languages. Postscript supports the high-quality printing of visually-rich documents and vector graphics, of particular demand in creative industries. Together with 768MB of device memory and true Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, the LBP7780Cx is designed to thrive in demanding operating environments right out of the box.
Cost-accounting and Easy Integration with Canon’s MEAP and uniFlow system
Equipped with the Canon Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform (MEAP), the LBP7780Cx enables growing businesses to simplify office workflow and improve their efficiency. The device integrates seamlessly with Canon’s uniFLOW print management and accounting system, offering small businesses a similar level of flexibility, cost control and accountability in print processing and job accounting as larger enterprises.
Server-less solutions for SME, Corporate Users
With the addition of an optional Canon SD Card accessory, the LBP7780Cx offers SME and corporate users a low-cost, secure printing solution without the need to invest in servers and other software solution add-ons. Print jobs can be encrypted with a password just before printing, and only released from memory when users re-enter the password at the device.
In addition, the LBP7780Cx supports direct printing from USB flash memory, giving businesses an added convenience and flexibility to print PDF, JPEG, TIFF, and XPS files without the need to send the print jobs through the print driver.
Cost- and Energy-Efficient
For cost-conscious businesses, the LBP7780Cx carries an Energy Star Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) power consumption rating of just 1.6kWh/week, helping them to stretch their dollar in day-to-day operations. Power consumption is just 35W when the machine stays in Standby mode, and falls to 1W to further conserve power when in Sleep mode. Automatic double-sided printing is available to help businesses save on paper costs.
With a standard 500-sheet cassette and the option to add another 500-sheet cassette feeder, the LBP7780Cx will satisfy businesses with heavy printing demands. A 100-sheet multi-purpose tray increases the versatility of the LBP7780Cx when it comes to printing of thicker papers, custom paper sizes, or envelopes.
Ease of Use and Maintenance
The LBP7780Cx device’s 5-line LCD display provides great ease of use with animated graphics and automatic character scroll. With the new all-in-one Toner Cartridge 332 design, toner replacement on the device is also exceedingly easy to manage.
