Telecommunications and network solutions provider ViewQwest today announced the launch of ViewQwest Secure Branch, a bundled connectivity and branch security solution with Palo Alto Networks’ ML-powered Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).

Leveraging Palo Alto Networks’ ML-powered NGFW and their range of best-in-class Cloud-delivered Security Services, ViewQwest customers from small and medium-sized businesses to enterprises with small or remote branches will be protected from both known and unknown threats, and allowed safe access regardless of where users are located.

Palo Alto Networks’ new PA-400 Series Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) are ideal for organisations in search of the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO), but wanting the best cybersecurity possible. They offer the same world-class security that larger appliances offer, but in a small desktop form factor. The PA-400 Series is available in four models: PA-460, PA-450, PA-440, and PA-410. These four models offer flexibility for a range of performance requirements. Each one supports Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP), centralised management from Panorama and incorporates the latest in known and unknown threat protections covering Intrusion Prevention, Anti-malware, Web security, DNS security, and Remote VPN. This greatly simplifies management, visibility and security for distributed branches and enables consistent security across all locations.

Mr Vignesa Moorthy, CEO of ViewQwest said, “The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in an unprecedented wave of digitalisation, including those who have reluctantly done so due to business necessity. In the wake of this, there exist many gaps in security that need to be urgently addressed. The PA-400 Series and attached Cloud-delivered Security Services reflect Palo Alto Networks’ all-encompassing Zero Trust Network Security approach that safeguards productivity by extending the same trusted Enterprise security to the new reality of remote, mobile and hybrid work. We are proud to lead the market launch of this NGFW series in Malaysia and are pleased that Palo Alto Networks shares our confidence in its positive impact on enterprises in the country.”

Ms Suk Hua Lim, Country Manager of Malaysia for Palo Alto Networks said, “The productivity of a hybrid workforce lies in the ability for users to move freely on and off the campus network and still securely access any applications or data from any device in any location.” She added, “Palo Alto Networks is thrilled to be partnering with ViewQwest. With our Next-Generation Firewalls, ViewQwest customers can get consistent protection extended to their most remote locations and smallest branches with a compact size that is easy to deploy.”

ViewQwest is a Managed Security Services Partner for Palo Alto Networks in Singapore and Malaysia, delivering Palo Alto Networks’ comprehensive, enterprise-grade product suite for businesses of all sizes. The managed service offerings include ViewQwest Secure Branch and Managed SASE powered by Palo Alto Networks’ ML-powered Next-Generation Firewalls and cloud-delivered security platform Prisma Access respectively.
