TikTok introduces #MYFoodie, new one-stop resource for all your foodie needs

TikTok, the leading destination for short-form mobile videos, has introduced the new hashtag #MYFoodie to allow Malaysians to share their love of food on the platform and prove once again why Malaysia is one of the best food destinations in the world.

Under the #MYFoodie hashtag, TikTok creators are encouraged to share their educational and informative content about food, ranging from recipes and food hacks, restaurant recommendations and reviews, mukbang videos and test tastes, to daily meal and nutritional tips.

“TikTok has become a springboard for culinary experimentation, allowing amateur and established chefs alike to push their creativity to the limit and share the quirkiest or most comforting meal ideas or hacks they have in bite-sized clips. Videos using hashtags related to food, such as #TikTokChef and #SeleraRamadan, prove to be a hit among Malaysians and have garnered over 11 billion views locally. With #MYFoodie, we hope to make it even easier for users in Malaysia to discover the food content they crave for and share their best food tips with others,” said Darren Quek, Strategy Content Manager, TikTok Malaysia.

From Dalgona coffee to pancake cereal to the ever-so-popular baked feta pasta, TikTok’s foodie trends have kept us entertained and fed during the pandemic. Whether you want to learn a new recipe or share your own – here are some of the niches you can find under #MYFoodie that celebrate the vibrant Malaysian food culture.
