THE VALORANT Pacific Open announces its Winners

Team ahq esports have emerged as champions of the VPO, Southeast Asia’s entry in the VALORANT Ignition Series, walking away with a US$13,000 cash reward.

16 teams from Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore put their prowess to the test in the VALORANT Pacific Open finals that were held from 17th to 23rd August 2020. Of these 16 teams, 10 were teams that qualified from the first round of the VALORANT Pacific Open in July, and six were invited based on their outstanding skill level.

In the group stages held from 17th to 19th August, these 16 teams were randomly drawn into groups of four, to battle till two top teams remained from each group, subsequently advancing to the knockout stages over the past weekend.

The tournament came to a heart-stopping conclusion with team ahq esports clinching first place and winning US$13,000 in cash. They were followed by Attack All Around and Only One Word, who claimed their spots as first and second runner-ups respectively. Players may have noticed JinNy, previously a guest at Riot Games Southeast Asia’s VALORANT SEA Invitational , as part of the Attack ›All Around team and her plays really shone through the team’s sole female player.

The VALORANT Pacific Open is a series of VALORANT tournaments organised by Cyber Games Arena, a leading esports event organizer from Hong Kong and Taiwan, and Riot Games.
