Canon Marketing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (“Canon”) announces the launch of the imageRUNNER ADVANCE (“iR-ADV”) DX series – a smart range of A3 and A4 colour/monochrome laser multi-function devices (“MFDs”). As the way we conduct businesses evolve along with technology, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX is aimed at driving digital transformation (“DX”) for businesses to stay competitive. Building on the success of the iR-ADV portfolio, a repeated winner of the coveted BLI Copier MFP Line of the Year Award, the new iR-ADV DX series brings together technological advancements that help businesses improve their operational efficiency and productivity, increasing connectivity and information security in one remarkable lineup.

“As companies move into the digital age, Canon is helping businesses future-proof themselves with secure cloud connectivity and efficient collaboration. Canon’s products and solutions are pushing companies to stay agile whilst driving digital transformation”, said Masato Yoshiie, Senior Director of Business Imaging Solution Centre at Canon Marketing Malaysia.

“The new iR-ADV DX series is a response to the latest market trends and demands, designed to support optimal cloud connectivity and modern workplace productivity. As more people are working from home in the new norm, our iR-ADV DX series allows employees working remotely to access information and collaborate anywhere, at any time. At Canon, we are committed to helping our partners and customers seamlessly integrate print and digital when adopting digital workflows at any stage of their digital transformation journey”, added Yoshiie.

Increase Operational Efficiency with Digital Workflows

The iR-ADV DX series fits effortlessly in any given work environment, enabling users to reduce the steps required to digitise, archive and retrieve physical documents with its highly-efficient document processing power. The series also features optional Cloud Image Processing for a wide array of forms and documents, maximising workplace productivity by automating inessential tasks such as naming and batch saving files. As well as that, the iR-ADV series also reduces manual data extraction and classification. Consequently, the automated digital workflows eliminate error-prone tasks and repetitive administration, effectively improving overall operational efficiency.

Connect Seamlessly with Cloud Integration

The iR-ADV DX series works hand-in-hand, especially for companies in their digital transformation journey, seamlessly integrating with public cloud platforms to enable digital workflows. Companies can thereby facilitate efficient collaboration across teams based remotely, as well as in workplaces. The MFDs also come equipped with uniFLOW Online Express, a simple cloud-based print management solution that helps businesses track device usage, and prevents unauthorised access with device authentication. Fulfilling a wider range of requirements, businesses can easily upgrade to uniFLOW Online and benefit from secure printing, as well as more cloud connectors for advanced scanning.

Safeguard Information with Robust Security

Companies operating with digital workflows require cyber resilience for added security, especially when handling information-sensitive documents. With unbeatable performance for business needs, the iR-ADV DX series incorporates a wide range of enhanced security features from its previous edition, ensuring confidentiality, accessibility and the availability of information without hindering workplace productivity. The MFDs come with McAfee Embedded Control as a standard security feature, helping businesses strengthen the commonly overlooked endpoint security. Blocking the execution of unauthorised applications, the feature ensures that only Canon-approved updates can run on the iR-ADV system, preventing the tampering of existing firmware and protects businesses against malicious cyber-attacks.

Working with the Syslog protocol, the MFDs send device information to Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution for monitoring. As it detects abnormal activities, the SIEM system sends real-time alerts to administrators for immediate threat analysis and prevention. Additionally, the MFDs offer a device security function that verifies system at startup, allowing users to safely power-on the MFDs based on Root of Trust (RoT).
