BP Healthcare’s Doctor2U partners with Microsoft for its Digital Transformation journey

Kuala Lumpur (3 May 2017) — BP Healthcare Group, Malaysia’s leading primary healthcare provider, today announced its partnership with Microsoft Malaysia to digitally transform its care continuum and deliver new health services. A Memorandum of Understanding to formalise this partnership was signed between ALI Health, a member of the BP Healthcare Group of companies, and Microsoft. The primary focus for ALI Health is its digital health app Doctor2U.

By way of this collaboration, Doctor2U will leverage on Microsoft’s intelligent cloud services to integrate Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning into its platform. These advanced technologies will allow Doctor2u to harness data insights and deliver more effective treatment plans for patients. Microsoft will also team up to co-promote the Doctor2U application through a series of digital campaigns.

Doctor2U aims to create an entire healthcare ecosystem built into a single app. It’s core feature is a Doctor House Call service that brings a doctor to your door within 60 minutes. In addition, Doctor2U offers a Video Consultation feature where customers can video call with a doctor, as well as a Medication Delivery service. Doctor2U is built on Microsoft Azure and uses Microsoft’s bot framework for their Live Chat feature that allows users to chat with doctors, pharmacists and nutritionists for free. This partnership will further the association among both sides and enable Doctor2U to create new service offerings that will empower clinicians, patients and care teams.
