Telephoto Versatility with New NIKKOR Lens
Malaysia (18 August 2016) — Get up close and personal with subjects at a distance with the new AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED and AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR, two telephoto zoom lenses compatible with Nikon DX-format digital SLR cameras announced by Nikon (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd this week.
Both lenses are 4.3x telephoto zoom lenses covering the 70-300mm range of focal lengths (effective angles of view equivalent to those of a lens with 105-450mm focal lengths in FX and 35mm formats) and maximum apertures of f/4.5-6.3.
These AF-P lenses have adopted a stepping motor to drive autofocus, ensuring fast and quiet AF and its benefit is demonstrated especially with movie recording. Despite being a telephoto zoom lens, they are designed to be compact and lightweight, making them extremely portable.
An ED lens element has been adopted for suppression of all types of aberration to achieve excellent optical performance. What’s more, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR is equipped with a Vibration Reduction (VR) function that offers image-stabilization compensation equivalent to a 4.0-stop increase in shutter speed (measured in accordance with CIPA standards).
“NIKKOR lenses are renowned for its credible years of advanced optics to provide an enriching photography experience when paired with a Nikon DSLR. With these latest telephoto zoom lenses joining our DX-format range, users are provided with a new focal length experience that comes paired with smooth autofocus operation from the stepping motor, and vibrant results of their photography excursions from the ED glass element,” said Hiroaki Ono, General Manager of International Marketing Division Imaging Group, Nikon Singapore Pte Ltd.
