Sony Mobile launches two new midrange phones – C5 Ultra Dual and M5 Dual
The Xperia C5 Ultra Dual is a selfie oriented smartphone with both a front and rear 13-MP camera, each of which packs a 22mm wide angle lens, Exmor RS for mobile image sensors and flash too and a 6-inch Full HD display enhanced with all of Sony’s usual tech including their latest iteration of their Mobiel Bravia Engine 2 for crisper images oncreen. It manages to do this through a slim 0.8mm bezel. The phone packs a 1.7Ghz Media Tek MTK6752 processor paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage space expandable via a microSD card slot. A 2930mAh battery keeps things running along. The C5 Ultra also has dual SIM card slots, LTE and can be had in three different colours – black, white and their trademark shade of green mint. The C5 Ultra Dual is available at RM1,399.
The M5 Dual takes the idea of a midrange phone to extremes with a rear 21.5-MP camera that packs a 0.25 second hybrid autofocus for fast subject acquisition along with a front facing 13-MP selfie cam. The rear camera is notably the highest resolution snapper yet mounted to a smartphone beefed up with their Exmor RS mobile sensor and is capable of 4K video capture. It comes with a MedaTek Helio X10 2GHz octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 16GB of onboard storage expandable via a microSD card and has a 5-inch Full HD display along with a 2600mAh battery and LTE connectivity. The M5 Dual is also waterproof and dustproof too. It comes in three different colour variations – black, white and gold. The M5 Dual is available at RM1599.
