HTC’s midrange One E9+ phone offers 5.5-inch QHD screen, 20-MP snapper and more for RM1899
If you loved HTC’s bespoke metal finished HTC One M9+ that made its debut a couple of months earlier, you’ll love their midrange One M9+ workhorse that just hit the stores today that has much of the same hardware that the One M9+ packs with a vastly more affordable price tag.
The One E9+, rather than an all metal body instead comes with a metal front plate and bezel with a polycarbonate backplate in two colours – a pearlescent off white with the metal finished in gold trim or an all gold finish. It’s light as well at 149g and is about 7.54mm thin.
The One E9+’s 5.5-inch display, belying its midrange aspirations rocks with 1,440 x 2,560 pixel resolution paired with dual front-facing BoomSound speakers.
The processor is similar to the M9+: a MediaTek Helio X10 octacore 2GHz 64-bit processor along with a similar 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage with a microSD card expansion slot in the unlikely event you need more memory. Where it tops its pricier sire is the inclusion of dual SIM card slots. Again, like the One M9+ the phone runs Android Lollipop with HTC’s Sense 7 user interface that allows for theme customisation.
The rear is a 20-MP camera with a BSI sensor, an f/2.2 aperture and the ability to capture 4K video while the front is an Ultrapixel camera. The price for the One E9+? A very reasonable RM1,899. Www.htc.com/sea
