Kuala Lumpur (5 June 2015) — Isuzu Malaysia expects its initial 700-unit sales target for the all-new Isuzu MU-X this year to be surpassed as the new SUV has garnered significant interest, particularly among urban buyers who warmed to the vehicle’s design and multi-capable functionality.
While the company anticipated a strong initial response to the vehicle due to its design, generous interior space, high level of safety and comfort, customer bookings of 300 units exceeded early expectations, especially since the car had yet to be officially launched.
CEO of Isuzu Malaysia, Mr. Kenji Matsuoka, attributed the all-new Isuzu MU-X’s fresh looks and the numerous class-leading features for the compellingly-strong demand.
“There has been a pent-up demand for a vehicle that is able to do it all and yet remain presentable in any environment. Then comes the all-new Isuzu MU-X with generous helpings of excellent features, bundled in a stylish package and customers now have a refreshingly-appealing vehicle that satisfies the head and the heart,” said Matsuoka.
“We anticipate with this level of interest, sales of the all-new Isuzu MU-X may likely reach 1,000 units before the end of this year which will give Isuzu close to 30 per cent of its market segment.”
