The JOOX app is available for iOS and Android

Making its official debut today in Malaysia is a new free music streaming app. Dubbed as JOOX , the app was developed by the developers behind WeChat and offers an array of free and premium songs that have been carefully curated by local music curators that are relevant to Malaysians.

The app comes in three different user interfaces with equally unique content – Melayu Hits, Chinese and International. When logging in to JOOX BOX, users can tailor their search down to genre, language, time period and even by mood. Users are also able to share the songs they’re listening with WeChat, WeChat Moments and Facebook in real-time. Tracks are streamed at up to 320kbps.

While songs are streamed on the house, users may opt-in to a premium subscription service that offers additional benefits like the ability to download songs for offline use, ad-free music streaming and better quality audio streaming.
