HyppTV and DiGi collaborate to bring HyppTV Everywhere to mobile customers

Kuala Lumpur (13 April 2015) — Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) via HyppTV together with Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) today announced their collaboration to offer HyppTV’s mobile app service, HyppTV Everywhere, to Digi customers at an event in Kuala Lumpur. With this partnership, both Digi prepaid and postpaid customers can now enjoy HyppTV’s exciting line-up of content through their mobile devices and pay for the subscription via their Digi bill in addition to other payment options. The five (5) special packages are ‘Entertainment Package’, ‘Sensasi Package’, ‘Dragon Package’, ‘Kids Package’ and ‘Sports Package’.

The collaboration was launched by Jeremy Kung, Executive Vice President, New Media, TM together with Christian Thrane, Digi’s Chief Marketing Officer at Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya. Also witnessing the launch were the director and special guest celebrities from HyppTV’s latest drama series ‘BIB’ such as Shah Iskandar, Ika Nabila, and Reza Hasbi, who were also on hand for a meet and greet session with the fans as well as other fun-filled activities.

HyppTV Everywhere is the mobile off-shoot of TM’s award winning IPTV service HyppTV, the latter of which is only available via broadband services UniFi and Streamyx (4Mbps and 8Mbps) and offers never before seen content and unique channels. With HyppTV Everywhere, customers can enjoy HyppTV’s offering on any broadband connection 2Mbps or faster and customers can download the app through Google Play Store for Android device users or Apple App Store for iOS devices. Alternatively, customers can also enjoy the service by visiting the HyppTV Everywhere website at www.tm.com.my/hypptv/everywhere for the Web TV version.This new feature allows customers to use their mobile devices to enjoy the exclusive world-class channels available on HyppTV from any broadband connection.

Digi subscribers with an existing Mobile Internet plan will enjoy zero data charges when watching their favourite HyppTV Everywhere channels from now till 30 June 2015. In addition, first time users among Digi’s customers will also enjoy a one (1) week free trial during the same period and at the end of the free viewing period, they have the option to subscribe to their favorite channels either on ala-carte basis or subscribing to the HyppTV Everywhere specially priced packages exclusively for Digi customers from as low as RM10 per month.

Digi customers who subscribe to a minimum of one (1) HyppTV Everywhere package also stand a chance to win an exclusive experience with actor Shah Iskandar. The winner gets to choose from either fly boarding, ATV/quad-biking, a private cooking class or being a pilot for a day. The promotions begin today, 13 April 2015 and will end on 13 May 2015.

Among the channels available for Digi customers include free channels like Channel NewsAsia, Euronews and Bloomberg TV as well as premium channels such as Al Jazeera, MUTV, HyppSports HD, Discovery Kids, TVB8, Nick Jr, Warner TV, Comedy Central HD and FOX Football Channel HD.
