KUALA LUMPUR (5 September 2014) – Have no idea how and where to dispose of all your old and unused computer peripherals? Worry no more as Malaysians can get rid of their unwanted computer peripherals simply by donating it to Logitech’s Planting Hope campaign.

“This is an effort from Logitech to reduce the amount of unused tech items that are lying around your house or even your office. As we all know, the technology industry is a very face paced one. There are a lot of new technology products being developed all the time – and existing items quickly become obsolete or are abandoned once they are replaced with a newer model. This creates an excessive amount of old, unused and outdated technology devices. Instead of letting those devices sit abandoned in your home or office, the Planting Hope campaign will help repurpose or recycle old and unused computer peripherals responsibly,” said KP Sim, Logitech’s Country Manager for Malaysia, Philippines and Brunei.

The public can participate in the campaign from now until 21 September 2014 by visiting any of the 30 participating Logitech stores within Peninsular and East Malaysia. Upon donating your computer peripherals, you will be eligible for a 30% discount on selected Logitech wireless peripherals, such as Bluetooth adapters, mice, speakers and keyboard combos. This is in line with Logitech’s philosophy of promoting wireless convenience and comfort among its customers.

“To complement the Planting Hope campaign, Logitech will also be planting a number of trees within the Klang Valley to promote a greener earth. The amount of trees that will be planted will be determined at a later date, based on the number of devices contributed by the consumers. We hope all Malaysians will follow the Planting Hope campaign to see its outcome, and also help spread the message of optimising the lifetime of all tech devices and keeping the earth green,” KP added.
