Presenting a 5-inch FHD touchscreen display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Ascend P7 possesses a metallic appearance forged by a seven-layered rear surface treatment with a refined “spin effect” micro-pattern design. More than just a sophisticated device with a comfortable grip, Huawei’s latest flagship device has a strong Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 in both front and rear covers. Overall forming an aesthetic silhouette by merging elements of design and quality, the Ascend P7 is 6.5mm thin, making it one of the slimmest 4G LTE smartphones in the world.

Gary Xu, Country Director, Consumer Business Group, Huawei Technologies Malaysia said, “The Ascend P7 encompasses the needs of the consumer for a durable and sophisticated device that brings an excellent balance between form and function. But beyond the exterior, our latest flagship also packs an unparalleled camera experience and ultra-fast performance, redefining excellence in its entirety.”

The Ascend P7 is powered by a 1.8GHz HiSilicon Kirin 910 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and Android’s latest Kit Kat 4.4.2 to provide an easy-to-use seamless interface, the Emotion UI 2.3, with two enhanced UIs for effortless navigation. To further enhance user experience, consumers can also access the smartphone’s management software to customize the permission, network and notification manager, among others to best suit their needs. Keeping the device running is a robust 2,500mAh lithium polymer battery which is equipped with an advanced power-saving mode, making possible the stretching of a remaining 10 per cent battery life to last 24 hours on standby.

Providing users an unparalleled camera experience, the Ascend P7 enables outstanding high definition images with its 13MP non-spherical lens Back-illuminated sensor (BSI) rear-facing camera. Adopting the Image Signal Processor (ISP), the camera’s functions mimic those found in professional digital SLRs, including autofocus, white balance and noise reduction. As for the ease of access, the rear-facing camera can be activated within 1.2 seconds of double-clicking the down volume button while the device is locked.

In front, the Ascend P7 is fitted with a massive 8MP non-spherical lens equipped with IMAGESmart 2.0 software. Designed to take better selfies with 10 level auto-facial enhancements in beauty mode, the 8MP front-facing camera redefines excellence with the “groufie” function, making possible the inclusion of large groups in selfies.

Giving users the edge in connectivity, the Ascend P7 is equipped with Huawei’s unique dual antenna designed to improve signal receptions and enabling unlimited media viewing with ultra-fast 4G LTE speed. Ascend P7 also uses smart network switching technology that stabilizes the connection even during weak signal reception to minimize battery drainage.

Apart from Huawei’s latest flagship, the smartphone manufacturer further expanded its portfolio in Malaysia today. It introduced a line-up of LTE-enabled devices namely the Huawei MediaPad X1 7.0, Huawei MediaPad M1 8.0, and Ascend G6.
