Taipei, Taiwan (13 May 2014) ─ At Computex 2014 in Taipei, Taiwan, Synology® Inc. will unveil new hardware as well as showcase DiskStation Manager 5.0 and Surveillance Station 6.3. Synology will introduce Advanced High Availability solution, which provides an easy-to-manage disaster recovery mechanism to ensure seamless service transition in case of unexpected server interruption. Advanced High Availability solution will be showcased with WD ReTM SAS drives. “Data is becoming an increasingly important asset to businesses, and the high growth of data makes access and availability crucial to success,” Brian Mallari, WD director of product marketing for datacenter products. “With WD ReTM drives, we’re proud to collaborate with Synology to provide a high-capacity, high-reliability solution for datacenters requiring the utmost in availability and durability to address continued mission-critical storage needs.”

At the show Synology will present the DS415play that features 1080p full HD video transcoding with up to 20 TB of storage capacity. Another new model to be showcased is the DS414slim, a compact yet feature-laden NAS equipped with dual LAN and USB 3.0 ports. Synology will also display the RS3614xs/RS3614RPxs, which provides superior performance, comprehensive business applications and wide-ranging redundancy features.

For SMB users, Synology will demonstrate its hybrid cloud solutions, including Cloud Sync that unifies data sync across public cloud services and DiskStation as well as 2-way sync between different DiskStations. In the field of home solution, Synology will present a series of multimedia streaming solutions, including its latest support for Samsung TV and Google Chromecast.

For visitors seeking a total NVR solution, Synology will showcase Surveillance Station 6.3 at Computex. It provides 64-channel concurrent live-view and video playback in HD quality, optimal live footage streaming experience on mobile devices, and native support for panoramic and in-camera fisheye dewarping.
