LINE M'sia Partners With Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

– Leading social communications app, LINE has collaborated with Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to claim its stake on a piece of Malaysian history. In conjunction with the festive season, LINE Malaysia has opened the first pop up store of its kind in South East Asia on Pavilion’s Tokyo Street, making available limited edition merchandise for a limited time. This is the first time in South East Asia that LINE is making available its merchandise to the public for purchase. It has also decked Tokyo Street with unique holiday decorations which highlight LINE’s lovable characters such as Brown and Cony.

The main attraction of LINE Malaysia’s holiday decorations at Pavilion KL is the 15 feet height Moon structure placed at Pavilion KL’s entrance. The structure has also been inducted in The Malaysia’s Book of Records as The World’s Biggest Moon statue. As a treat to shoppers this Christmas season, LINE characters Brown and Cony will be making first time special appearances throughout this promotional period decked in Christmas costumes!

“We have been receiving very positive responses and feedback from the public with regards to our pop up store, Christmas decorations and promotions that we’re currently doing here at Pavilion KL. We believe that our unique decorations have served to further brighten up the mood of shoppers this festive season. We encourage shoppers to grab this opportunity to get their hands on our limited edition merchandise and join us at Pavilion KL to celebrate this festive season” said Wind Koh, Head of LINE Malaysia.

To further seal the collaboration as a long term partnership, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur has also set up an official account with LINE Malaysia as part of its continuous initiative to engage effectively with shoppers. Pavilion KL’s official account on LINE will enable shoppers to get latest updates on promotions and events happening at the mall.

LINE’s pop up store will be up at Pavilion KL’s Tokyo Street, Level 6 from 2nd December 2013 to 2nd January 2014. There are several promotional activities that shoppers can take part in which includes free LINE head doll for first 300 shoppers with above RM300 purchases, lucky spins for every purchase of RM120 and limited time happy hour deals.

LINE Wants To Partner With Users To Build A Better World For Children

LINE is also announcing the launch of its charity project “LINE Santa Claus”, and is inviting its users worldwide to participate in the event, themed “Building a Brighter Tomorrow for our Children”.

LINE Santa Claus is a charity project that will be carried out within LINE’s Official Account system. Using the ONAIR feature, which lets official accounts receive messages from users, LINE will ask its user base of over 300 million to send their wishes under the theme of “Building a Brighter Tomorrow for our Children”. To participate, users need to only add the LINE Santa Claus official account as a friend and is opened from 10th December till 25th December 2013.

After a review and selection process within LINE, wishes will be selected and announced on Christmas Day. Starting in 2014, LINE will start working on a project to make the chosen wishes a reality, and will post status updates on the LINE Team official account, as well as its official Twitter, Facebook, and other social media accounts.
