Kuala Lumpur (7 November 2013) – Nokia and AirAsia today jointly announced their collaboration in developing the AirAsia mobile app on the Windows Phone 8 platform.

Different from the airline’s current successful cross-platform mobile app, this latest initiative sees Nokia collaborating with AirAsia on its first dedicated mobile app for Windows Phone 8, which makes good use of the platform’s modern UI featuring interactive seat maps and voice search.

An app for the people

The AirAsia app leverages the Modern User Interface (UI) of Windows Phone giving it a modern, bold and elegant look. Nokia will be working closely with AirAsia to develop this app equipping customers with innovative solutions to make travel planning easy, convenient and fast. We feel this app has all the right elements and sets a new benchmark in the industry for travel apps. .”

This association with Nokia and the development of our dedicated mobile app on the Windows Phone platform signify our aggressive approach in the use of technology to improve our guests’ experience and making travel seamless and convenient.
