Acer Launches Three New Smartphones

Kuala Lumpur (29th October 2013) – Acer Malaysia has launched three new smartphones for the Malaysian market – the Liquid S1, Liquid E2 and Liquid Z3. All the new smartphones feature Android’s 4.2.2 operating system and dual-SIM capability. In addition, all three models are now powered by Mediatek’s dual and quad-core processors.

The lowest-end Liquid Z3 weighs a miniscule 120 grams and is powered by a dual core 1.0 GHz processor. It has a 3MP rear facing camera and comes with 4GB of ROM and 512MB of RAM. The screen measures 3.5 inches and has a 320 x 480 native resolution.

The mid-range Liquid E2 runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and boasts a 4.5 inch IPS (540 x 960 resolution) screen. The 8MP rear camera has an LED flash plus it also comes with a 2MP front-facing camera. The phone comes with a removable 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery and weighs 139 grams.

For the phablet market, the Liquid S1 boasts a 5.7-inch screen which has a 1280 x 720 resolution. The Mediatek 1.5GHz quad-core processor powers the unit and it comes standard with 8GB of internal storage. The 8MP rear camera is complemented by a wide-angle full HD front camera.

Acer also took the opportunity to announce its partnership with Lazada.com.my, one of Malaysia’s top shopping portal. The three new smartphones will be offered exclusively on Lazada’s website for two weeks ending 4th November 2013. Customers who buy their Acer Liquid smartphones online will receive extra goodies, such as casings or memory cards (depending on model).
