Canon Introduces New All-In-Ones to PIXMA Printer Range
Malaysia (10 July 2013) – Fans and supporters of Canon printers can now have even more options to choose from when it comes to selecting a printer that effectively meets their needs and demands. Designed to streamline users’ work process at work and at the home office, are the MX727, MX527 and MX397 that belongs to the PIXMA Office All-In-One (AIO) printer series, as well as the PIXMA Ink Efficient E610, Canon’s latest home office AIO printer with high volume printing.
The MX727 and MX527 models are equipped with 802.11 b/g/n wireless networking capability that can help businesses save time and cost. This feature allows users to send their print jobs directly to the printer either through their handheld devices (smart phones and tablets), via the Apple AirPrint™ and/or Canon Easy-PhotoPrint application.
Being away from the office will also no longer be a problem as users are able to print important Google emails and documents by using the Google Cloud Print feature. Alternatively, users can connect to the PIXMA Cloud Link service where they are able to take advantage of the numerous templates and stationeries available on the Internet to customise documents and photos, and print them directly from the printers’ interface.
Intuitive Interface and Increased Convenience
Helping to enhance productivity at the workplace, the MX727 and MX527 are equipped with a Dual Function Panel that makes it easier for users to navigate the interface. Menus are simplified according to the users’ needs at any given moment so that they are not overwhelmed by the amount of unnecessary function buttons. For example, navigation buttons on the home screen will change into numbers when the printers are in fax mode.
These printers are also equipped with My Image Garden, enabling users to have a little fun while at work. My Image Garden allows users to conveniently scan and print photos and documents under a single interface, as well as helps sort, organise and even enhance the colours of old photographs. Facebook users can also print photos directly from the site using the Print Your Days application.
The MX527, MX397 and E610’s FastFront design makes replacing ink cartridges a quicker and more convenient process as they are located at the front of the printer. As such, users no longer need to lift heavy lids or scanner units each time the cartridges need replacing.
Quick Quality Printing with Canon Technology
With Canon’s FINE (Full-photolithograpy Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) technology, users are able to generate high-quality prints that will impress clients and customers alike. The MX727 is able to produce high resolution prints of up to 9600 x 2400 dpi with microscopic droplets of 1pl, while the MX527, MX397 and E610 are capable of printing up to 4800 x 1200 dpi with ink droplets of 2pl.
Operating on a Hybrid system, these AIO and E610 printers are designed to maximise colour usage depending on the type of prints needed at any given time. Colours are printed using Dye ink, resulting in rich colours and smooth gradations, while black and white texts are printed crisp and sharp thanks to the Pigment black ink.
Users in fast-paced working environments will also be pleased at the speed in which prints are generated. The MX727 takes just 21 seconds for a 4” x 6” borderless photo and prints at 15 images per minute (ipm) for black and white documents, and approximately 10 ipm for colour A4 documents. The print output for MX527, MX397 and E610 meanwhile, takes 46 seconds for photos of the same size and prints black and white documents at 9.7 ipm, 8.7 ipm and 8.9 ipm respectively.
In addition, the E610 also features the ChromaLife100 system that helps preserve the lifespan of documents and photos by protecting them against light, gases and humidity. Stored properly, photos generated using this system can last up to 100 years.
More than Just Printing
On top of that, the MX727, MX527 and MX397 and PIXMA Ink Efficient E610 have an added optional security feature that enables users to scan, create PDF copies and secure them with passwords to protect confidential information. This feature also prompts users to key in the numbers of the fax destinations twice prior to sending out fax jobs, thereby preventing accidental transmissions to the wrong destinations.
The MX727 is priced at RM888, the MX527 at RM558, the MX397 at RM426 and E610 at RM598. These AIO printers are now available at selected Canon authorised outlets.
